PINCfest, a three-day festival presented by Ringling College of Art and Design, encourages creativity among artists and muralists, who transform walls, enliven streetscapes and beautify the community. PINCfest, a weekend-long outdoor festival, is coming to Sarasota's Rosemary Art & Design District on Jan. 20-22.

An initiative of DreamLarge and presented by Ringling College of Art and Design, the three-day event will mark the return of PINC and an array of programs and events celebrating "People, Ideas, Nature, and Creativity."

Ten Sarasota County high schoolers got the opportunity to experience an eclectic conference billed as “a bubble bath for the brain,” thanks to the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation.

What do a violin maker, an Iranian documentary producer, a criminologist who exchanged ideas with serial killers and a caver obsessed with crystallized insects have in common? For one day only, it’ll be the stage at Sarasota Opera House.

British artist Stephen Wiltshire will take the stage at the annual conference on Dec. 12.

People. Ideas. Nature. Creativity. Better known as PINC, this unique event, now in its fifth year, brought together 12 global thinkers on our local Sarasota Opera House stage, presenting their forward-thinking initiatives to a sold-out audience.

The 5th PINC Experience was held Thursday December 6th, 2018 at the Sarasota Opera House. PINC, which stands for People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity, presented a myriad of speakers to the stage to share their perspective on connecting global thoughts with our local community

Sarasota’s fourth PINC (People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity) event is scheduled to bring another eclectic group of at least 13 speakers to give TED-style talks Dec. 7 at the Sarasota Opera House.

For the third straight year, an eclectic, quirky, unpredictable international lineup of speakers took turns offering pep talks on the human condition, ominous reality checks and glimpses of the future in 20-minute stanzas. For those who ponied up $425 a ticket, the nine-hour experience included three meals and, for the third straight year, according to host Anand Pallegar, the event sold out all 540 seats.

The People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity conference is scheduled for Dec. 8, with 16 international speakers of “singular accomplishment in widely varied fields” at the Sarasota Opera House.

Alternately exhilarating, challenging and provocative, the marathon People, Ideas, Nature, Creativity (PINC) program, sponsored by Ringling College of Art and Design, compressed the skills and perspectives of 16 presentations into 20-minute blocks of entertainment.

PINC.Sarasota, which will be held early next month at Florida Studio Theatre, is being touted as a celebration of "People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity" that will bring international storytellers to Sarasota for the first time.

What do a British arctic explorer, an ESPN and CNN journalist, an engineer and filmmaker from Bhutan, a digital asset director at Nickelodeon, a founder of a Swiss idea factory and 12 other international innovators have in common?

An international conference that fosters creativity and innovation will be making its U.S. debut in Sarasota this year.

PINC, which stands for “People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity,” will bring 16 international storytellers from a wide variety of backgrounds to the Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota on Nov. 6.
